Ellie Winter

As Digital Communications Manager, Ellie cultivates Barr’s vibrant digital presence to amplify stories of its current grantees and make connections with future ones. Her work involves visual design, strategy development, social listening, and multimedia content planning.

Previously, she led communications efforts at Brown University’s Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America. In her time there, she grew academic and artistic programs that inspire a more just world, including fellowships, conferences, and creative exhibitions.

Beyond Barr, Ellie is an avid gardener and music collector. She is a graduate of Vassar College and lives in Providence, Rhode Island.
