Chris Overton
Manager, Grants Management and Contracts Administration
Chris joined Barr as the Manager for Grants Management and Contracts Administration in 2024. In this role, he oversees the contracting process for Barr’s work with external partners as well as supports the director of grants management. Prior to joining the philanthropic sector at Barr, Chris spent the better part of a decade helping nonprofit and local government organizations in development and fundraising pursuits. Most recently, he helped oversee fiscally sponsored nonprofit organizations’ financial and grants management activities.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Geography from the University of Vermont as well as a Master of Public Administration degree at James Madison University.
Chris lives just outside of Boston, enjoying hiking, skiing, and taking in nature with his Goldendoodle puppy Niles. Originally from West Virginia, he also enjoys traveling and catching up with friends throughout the country.
