Measures of Success

Old Africa Map The Foundation measures the success of this program by its impact on the quality of public life in Boston as well as by its impact on the Fellows' fields and organizations.  We expect to see a network effect that reaches beyond the organizations themselves.

Fellows may remain many more years in their organizations to bring innovations to bear, raise the level of performance, mentor emergent leaders or bring new knowledge to the field.  Or over time, Fellows may be inspired to start a new organization or take over the helm of a different one, work in a policy arena, or contribute in some other way to the civic life of the Boston area.
